Nous avons l'intention de partir en Croatie, en Istrie, à Umag, au Domaine Sol Polynésia. Nous allons certainement louer un appartement car nous allons "bouger" pas mal.
Louer un appartement implique de se faire à manger nous-même (pas de soucis de ce côté car on est grand hein!).
Mes questions les voici : Est-ce que sur ce site, des personnes seraient déjà parties dans ce domaine ou dans cette région?
Quels sont vos avis sur le Sol Polynésia?
Pour faire les courses là-bas, est-ce que c'est cher en comparaison à la Belgique? (Va-t-on se mettre sur la paille pour aller boire un verre dans un petit bistro?)
nous sommes allés un certain nombre de fois en Croatie, et avons toujours loué directement chez l'habitant sans passé par une agence en France, et cela revient moins cher, de plus vous ètes en contact avec les gens du coin qui sont assez sympa, quoique en disent certains!!
Pour trouver des adresses: chercher sur google avec apartments CROATIA (et toutes les orthographes possibles pour apartment) ou "Ferienwohnung Kroatien ou sur www.homelidays.com ou si vous cherchez quelque chose au sud de Zadar: http://rasin.free.fr (toutes ces adresses ont été données de nombreuses fois ici, pub absolument gratuite)! Il suffit, et c'est là le plus difficile, de se fixer un point de chute à quelque part!!
Pour les courses, le pays est très bien équipé en petits libres service, en échoppes où il suffit de montrer ce que l'on veut si vous n'avez pas de langue parlée communne (chez le boucher il faut tout de même savoir reconnaitre la pièce de viande en expo) et pour le frais il y a un peu partout des marchés le matin! Si les vendeurs ne connaissent pas le français, en général, ils savent écrire et comme ils ont quelque chose à vendre ils ont vite fait de trouver un morceau de papier et vous donner le prix du kg! Pour un français le prix des denrées est en général voisin de celui en France!! Si vous venez en voiture, emportez seulement votre café si vous tenez à son gout, ou votre thé!! Le reste vous découvrirez!!!
Par contre faut pas être décu, mais le poisson est rarement du pays (la pollution a tué les poissons de l'Adriatique) et viennent de Boulogne ou Hambourg directement ou congelé... à un prix supérieeur à celui de France! Par contre les cotes d'agneau ou de veau sont excelentes et là très bon marché!!

PS pour l'Istrie nous nous arrêtons en général à Novigrad, sympa avec une vieille ville abordable et un nouveau quartier où il y a une foultitude de locations de tout confort!
Pour ce qui est du logement, nous avons directement réservé là-bas donc ça ne nous revient pas cher du tout en comparaison avec les prix demandés dans les agences...

Nous sommes allés 2 semaines l'année dernière à Sol Poynésia, avec nos 3 enfants (13/11/5 ans), nous étions en 1/2 pension.
Le centre est très agéable, cependant pour ce qui est du dépaysement nous avons été un peu déçus (beaucoup d'Itatiens).
Les logements sont bien équipés, nous avons la chance d'avoir un appartement avec une grande terrasse, ce qui n'est pas le cas pour tous.
Les plages sont surpeuplées. Pour notre part nous allions en voiture (10')dans une baie face à la Slovénie et l'Italie, où il n'y avait personne, les fonds marins pas mal.
Pour les randonnées à vélo au "centre de l'Istrie" sont agréables, bien balisées, ne pas manquer Motovun.
Attention, dans le centre de Sol Polynésia, des tours operators vendent des excursions en bateau à la journée, nous y avons participé, mais c'était un peu long, surtout pour les enfants.
A ne pas manquer pour la baignade Prémantura, près de Pula.

At all-inclusive resorts, base salaries are extremely low for 10- to 12-hour workdays. Tips aren’t just a little extra—they often make up half of these families’ income.
Personally, I always prepare an envelope with euro bills in different denominations before I leave (they exchange them easily on-site). Here’s my method:
🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.
🎉 For entertainment: I set aside an envelope for the animator who put in the most effort and really touched me.
The package covers the hotel, but our tips help support the people who make our vacations magical. Don’t forget to budget for this in cash when you pack!

For my husband's 50th birthday, we're going to Mombasa for 10 days and 8 nights in March 2026.
I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)
1. All-inclusive
2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). I’m not necessarily aiming for the cheapest resort, but since it’s spring break week and everything’s already pricier, 5-star options are probably out of the question. Thanks!

We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
