Je suis actuellement en discussion avec un grand groupe pour un contrat d'expat au Cambodge, PP plus précisément...
Côte "Asie", je n'ai jusqu'ici voyagé qu'en Thaïlande et au Népal, et ne connais donc pas du tout le Cambodge. On trouve vraiment de tout sur internet, des remarques les plus alarmistes aux visions les plus angéliques, je présume donc que le mieux est de se faire sa propre opinion...
J'essaie néanmoins d'avoir quelques précisions sur la vie d'expat à PP, et en particulier sur le rythme de vie. Je m'explique : Lorsque j'étais au Népal (pour un petit stage humanitaire), je me souviens avoir été surprise de découvrir que là-bas la notion de "week-end" était bien différente de chez nous, pour ne pas dire inexistante... Je me questionne donc sur le rythme de travail auquel sont soumis les expats au Cambodge. Evidemment j'imagine que les 35 h on oublie (bah de toute façon dans mon secteur les 35 h ont toujours été une grosse blague française...), mais y-a-t-il tout de même 2 jours de repos par semaine ? Qu'est-ce que ça donne niveau congés annuels ?
Je n'ai pour ma part jamais bénéficié de contrat expat jusqu'ici donc si certains peuvent m'apporter des précisions sur le contenu d'un tel contrat, je suis preneuse de toute info : est-ce que ça comprend sécu, retraite ou est-ce qu'il faut souscrire à une assurance indépendamment ? prise en charge d'un logement ? billets d'avion ? quel revenu moyen par rapport à un salaire français ? ... Après j'imagine bien que tous les contrats d'expat se négocient mais pas facile de savoir ce à quoi on peut prétendre quand on a aucune pratique du sujet...
Et enfin, question subsidiaire : la course à pied à PP, j'oublie j'imagine ?
Bref, j'espère que cette discussion me permettra de trouver quelques réponses, voire quelques compatriotes présents sur place, et j'attends des réponses avec impatience 😉, MERCI D'AVANCE !
En principe avec un contrat d'expat français tu devrais avoir des conditions de travail et de vie très avantageuses par rapport au niveau de vie local.
Je ne sais pas dans quel domaine tu travailles mais il est possible qu'ils t'accordent 2 jours de repos par semaine.
Je vis à Siem Reap mais je n'ai jamais rencontré d'expat en contrat d'expatrié. Cependant, je connais des personnes en contrat local aux conditions très avantageuses également.
Renseigne-toi bien sur tout ce qui est inclus, pour moi ce qui serait logique: billet d'avion, prise en charge d'au moins une partie de l'assurance, prime d'installation.
Si effectivement il s'agit d'un bon contrat, tu peux t'estimer chanceuse car ce genre de contrat se font de plus en plus rare... 😉

Après un premier échange plus concret avec les ressources humaines, il s'avère que le contrat initialement présenté en "expat" dans l'annonce soit finalement un contrat de droit local, tiens donc ! 😛
Je n'ai pas encore de précisions quant à la rémunération mais voici les premières conditions dont on m'a parlé :
* Prise en charge du VISA et d'une assurance médicale par l'employeur.
* 1 billet d'avion A-R.
* seulement 18 jours de congés payés sur l'année, car il y aurait vraisemblablement beaucoup de jours fériés au Cambodge ?
Bref, j'attends d'en savoir davantage, notamment sur le salaire. Mais pour le coup il faudrait que je cotise en France, au moins pour retraite et chômage... J'ai beaucoup de mal à estimer le coût de ces cotisations car les organismes qui proposent cela sont très nombreux et on ne sait pas trop ce qu'il faut prendre en fin de compte... Concernant la santé, dois-je considérer que l'assurance médicale souscrite par l'employeur est suffisante ou dois-je conserver un semblant de mutuelle ? Retraite de base et/ou retraite complémentaire ? Assurance chômage auprès d'un organisme privé ou pôle emploi ?
Certains sauraient-ils m'éclairer sur ces points ?
Il me semble qu'il y a une vingtaine de jours fériés cambodgiens dans l'année...
Il te faudra surement prendre une assurance rapatriement (privé car je pense que ta mutuelle française ne peut pas couvrir ce genre de chose) en plus car ce ne sera pas couvert pas l'assurance santé, je pense...
Pour les cotisations retraite (je ne cotise pas pour ma part), je ne connais pas les compagnies dont tu parles mais regarde la CFE il y a une option cotisation retraite qui me semble est très cher, à toi de voir si tu peux te le permettre avec ton salaire...

Autant je connais des expatriés qui cotisent à la CFE pour leurs retraites, autant je n'ai jamais rencontré personne qui ait pris une assurance chômage.
Le faible succès de la formule est cela dit fort logique: les cotisations et les allocations sont raisonnables mais il faut avoir cotisé pendant au moins 18 mois pour avoir droit à quelque chose... Or si cela doit mal se passer il y a de fortes chances pour que la rupture de contrat ait eu lieu avant cela... et si tout se passe bien vous n'avez pas besoin de cette assurance. Moralité: personne ne la prend.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
