Hi,

We have a flight to Bastia with EasyJet in August that was originally scheduled to arrive at 4 PM. They just changed the time, and now we’ll arrive at 8:50 PM, which works a lot less well for us. Does this nearly 5-hour schedule change allow us to request a cancellation and refund for our booking? I know it’s possible with a "traditional" airline, but what about a low-cost carrier? And if so, can we get a refund for the entire booking or just the outbound flight affected by the schedule change?

Normally, when an airline notifies you of a significant change, they also inform you of your options: accepting the change, canceling with a refund or voucher, or the possibility to modify your booking. That’s what easyJet usually does, in my experience.

In the email I received, it says "if this change doesn’t work for you, contact us by clicking the link." And when you click it, it redirects to the FAQs. We’re going to call them.

While doing some research, I came across your post from 07/17/2020. You were asking for information after EasyJet changed your flight time (+5h). Could you let me know if you managed to cancel the flight and get a refund?
