Séjour et hôtel absolument parfait!
Check in : Le check-in s’est fait très rapidement avec un cocktail de bienvenue. La dame parlait français et nous expliquait tout le système de l’hôtel. Nous nous somme rendus immédiatement à la chambre et un bagagiste s’est chargé de nous y conduire ainsi que de monter nos valises (très lourdes, le pauvre) jusqu’au 3 ème étage. Nous avons donc très vite pu constater la gentillesse des dominicains, il était tout sourire et tout content de nous présenter la chambre…
Le site : Après avoir découvert la chambre nous sommes partis nous promener. Le site est immense et absolument magnifique, le personnel est toujours là à entretenir le site et le rendre si merveilleux et surtout PROPRE. Un cadre absolument magnifique mais immense, au point que nous ne retrouvions plus notre chambre le premier jour mais ne vous inquiétez pas vous apprendrez vite à vous y retrouver avec les jours et ce sera encore plus facile une fois que vous connaitrez les petits trajets de chaque navette.. D’ailleurs ce système de navette est absolument parfait, il y en a toutes les 10 min et elles vous amènent partout sur le site et en plus de ça on ne s’ennuie jamais avec les chauffeurs. Puis sinon rien de tel qu’une bonne marche sur le site et découvrir la superbe végétation.
Les piscines : Elles sont magnifiques, toujours de l’animation et nous n’avons jamais eu aucun problème pour trouver des transats même après avoir déjeuner, jamais eu besoin d’aller mettre nos serviettes tôt le matin afin de réserver nos transats alors que nous avions une place favorite. (et nous étions en haute saison) Mais il est vrai que nous prenions des transats au soleil, les transats à l’ombre sont plus vite réservés. Près des piscines se baladent également beaucoup de vendeurs d’excursions, photo shooting etc.. Ils sont absolument formidables et pas du tout envahissants. D’ailleurs un grand merci à notre très cher Alain adoré qui est une personne magnifique et qui nous manque beaucoup.. Si vous désirez faire des excursions je vous le recommande sans hésitation. De même Stany pour les photoshooting un magnifique souvenirs mais atrocement cher !!! Mais nous avons tout de même craqué.. Il y a également tous les jours des photographes qui vous proposent des photos avec des animaux (serpent, iguane, singe, perroquets, …) Même si ils sont super beaux, pauvres bêtes, quelle honte de leur infliger ça tous les jours et toute la journée, quand on voit se singe attaché à une laisse qu’on refile de bras en bras et qui parfois n’a même pas envie ça fait vraiment mal au cœur !! Comment pouvez vous tolérer ça ???!!!
La plage : La plage est juste magnifique comme dans un rêve, du sable blanc et une mer turquoise. De plus tous les matins le personnel travaille pour retirer les algues.. Rien à redire !
La chambre : Correct mais dommage que dans une chaine d’hôtels pareils le coffre fort ne soit même pas gratuit ! 50$ pour 2 semaines ou quelques choses ainsi.. De plus le jaccuzi n’en est pas vraiment un c’est un simple bain à remous. Il serait temps de remettre ces chambres à neuf car elles font vraiment vieillots mais bon pour le temps qu’on y passe ça ne pose pas de problème.. Nous étions dans le bloc 8 au 3 ème étage nous étions très bien placé car au centre de tout, très près de la plage et des piscines et il y avait juste devant le bloc un arrêt de bus et nous accédions donc rapidement au lobby et aux restaurants avec la navette.
Le buffet : Il est très bon mais trop répétitifs. Le service y est quant à lui EXCELLENT. Nous n’avons à peine fini notre verre, café, que le serveur est déjà de retour pour reprendre une commande. Ils refont les tables et changent les nappes après chaque client (contrairement au GBP de la Riviera Maya) Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de chocolat chaud au déjeuner, ça manque. Par contre quelle choix au niveaux des pains un vrai luxe et un vrai bonheur comparé aux pains du Gran Bahia Principe Riviera Maya ou c’était vraiment une catastrophe. Chaque soir il y avait un thème différent (mexicain, dominicain, italien, …) on a beaucoup apprécié.
Les restaurants : Nous avons fait le japonais, très bien mais nous avions trop mangé à midi pour en profiter au maximum mais le show est excellent avec un cuisto qui assure le spectacle devant nous. Nous avions pu réserver 3 resto à la carte par semaine mais nous préférions aller au buffet qui nous convenait mieux. Nous le regrettons un peu et nous sommes rattrapés au Mexique ☺
Les animations et spectacle : La grosse déception.. Aucun animateurs ne parlent français, c’est dommage. Les spectacles se font en espagnols en grande majorité et ils parlent un tout petit peu en anglais de temps en temps.. De plus c’est répétitif.. Après une semaine vous avez déjà tout vus.. Le spectacle de Michael Jackson est très bien !
Les petits marchands : Il y a un jour par semaine ou deux un petit marché qui s’installent dans les allées devant la salle de spectacle. Agréable le soir pour se promener mais ils sont envahissants, impossible de marcher sans avoir pleins de collier et bracelet sur soi.. Ils ne vous laissent pas partir. Au début on ne veut pas être méchant avec eux mais à la fin ils font vraiment les envoyer balader pour qu’ils vous laissent passer.. De même dans l’hacienda pleins de petits commerces, bars, karaoké, ect où on peut se promener le soir.. Très agréable le soir.
Les excursions : Nous avons fait L’île Saona, très beau mais très long, sur le retour nous faisons une pause toilette ( de 30 min 1heure) soit disant mais c’est devant un centre commercial afin de nous faire acheter bien sûr et en fin de soirée comme ça c’est vraiment pas nécessaire car le trajet pour l’ile Saona est assez long et donc on rentre tard à l’hôtel mais ça en vaut tout de même la peine.
Nous avons également fait les dauphins un souvenir génial !
Ensuite nous avons fait l’excursion Dr Fish et on ne regrette absolument pas malgré le cout assez élevé ça en vaut la peine. On monte sur le bateau puis on fait une petite séance de yoga, ensuite on se fait masser, puis on va sur des matelas dans l’eau en plein milieu des caraïbes c’est absolument MERVEILLEUX et relaxant, on remonte sur le bateau et on se fait un bain de pied et ensuite on va sur une plate forme en pleine mer et on met nos pieds dans des bassins où des petits poissons viennent manger nos peaux mortes, c’était une jour génial pour se relaxer.
Voilà pour nos vacances, cet hôtel était vraiment super et nous avons hâte d’y retourner et j’espère également que mon avis vous permettra de vous faire une petite idée sur le complexe du Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana. Si vous avez des questions n'hésitez pas à me contacter :)

Alors pour ma part je vous conseille le Mikado (japonais), le Garden Grill que j'ai adoré.. Après il y a le gourmet qui est excellent (Don Pablo), nous avons également aimé l'Italien. Maintenant cela dépend surtout de vos gouts culinaires..

I wanted to share a great discovery in the Marakele area because, in the end, this park doesn’t get talked about much compared to Kruger, even though it’s really worth the detour.
We discovered Cypiro Leopard Lodge, right next to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg. It’s a small property with just a few villas and suites, so it’s nothing like the big, crowded lodges. What we loved most was the feeling of being truly at the end of the world—lots of space, silence, and almost no one around.
And yet, it’s only about 3 hours from Johannesburg. Once you leave Joburg, the road is pretty straightforward, and you quickly find yourself in a much wilder Africa.
Marakele National Park was a huge surprise for us. There are plenty of animals, the Big Five are present, but best of all, very few people. At times, we drove for quite a while without seeing another car. It’s such a change from parks where you sometimes end up with 15 cars around one animal.
The landscapes are also stunning, with the Waterberg mountains, plains, and beautiful views from some of the trails.
We also learned on-site that Marakele is known for its very large Cape vulture colony—around 800 breeding pairs. When you climb into the mountains and see them soaring above, it’s pretty impressive.
The entire Waterberg region is actually a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, and you quickly understand why once you’re there.
As for Cypiro, it’s a lodge that was recently taken over by French owners—really nice and approachable. The place is quite exclusive since there are very few accommodations. The villas and suites each have their own private pool, a wood-fired hot bath (like a KolKol), a braai, and an outdoor fireplace.
Evenings are especially lovely, especially with the peace and quiet all around.
Another thing we found really convenient: you can organize your stay however you like.
You can come self-catering and cook for yourself. There’s a supermarket in the nearby small town, practically on the way in, so you can do your shopping before arriving without making a big detour.
Or you can ask them to organize everything with breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Their chef, Ernest, cooks really well, and it lets you completely unwind for a few days.
We liked being able to alternate: some quiet meals on our own and others prepared for us.
That’s actually one of the things we appreciated here—it’s not an ultra-formal lodge where everything is scheduled at fixed times. You can head out early to Marakele, come back for lunch, enjoy the pool, go back out in the late afternoon, then have a braai or a relaxed dinner in the evening.
In terms of price, we also found the value for money really good for this level of accommodation and especially for the very private feel of the place. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a much more expensive lodge.
If you’re looking for lots of activity and dozens of people around you, this probably isn’t the right spot.
But for peace, wildlife, nature, wide-open spaces, and that feeling of being a little alone in the world, we absolutely loved it.

And if anyone knows Marakele or the Waterberg well, I’d love to hear about other spots to discover in the area.
While digging through the archives 🔍, we discovered a 19th-century journal 📜 bearing the name: "Le Petit Baigneur, weekly journal of beaches, spa towns, and thermal resorts in the South of France", published as early as 1886. Its motto? "All for the baths and by the baths" 🏖️ — what a program!
We found the name so amusing that we chose it to rename our hotel: Hôtel Le Petit Baigneur!
140 years later, we’re carrying on this seaside tradition of the South of France in our own way 🏊♂️ — with a few fewer crinolines, but just as much love for the seaside. 😊

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Hi everyone, I’m writing here because I’m really torn—I want to go on a trip. A vacation? 10 to 12 days, maybe 14 days. Starting March 14th. I’m in a wheelchair but completely independent. I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). 4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")

6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace

To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
