Hello everyone. It's to greet all the old-timers here with whom I had so many interactions when I used to visit this platform regularly and eagerly before it was shut down, much to our dismay.

I was a member under the name "Jaydev," but it seems I can't log in with that name anymore. Maybe I deleted the username, thinking VoyageForum wouldn't come back.

I'm so happy to be able to log in here again. Talking about Indian things—and in the language I love—lets me practice and chat with people who love the land where I was born.

From a visitor's perspective, I find it really interesting to interact with the local population. That's what gives meaning to the word "travel." Without it, traveling is essentially just "getting from one place to another."

Thanks, and see you soon.

Good to have you back here.

There are still quite a few who haven’t returned to VoyageForum, either because they stopped checking if the site had reopened or because they changed their email address and didn’t receive the message. That should sort itself out over time.

Your interest in interacting with the local population is really nice, and I hope you have great exchanges. When I was younger, I didn’t think about that—I interacted with so many people back home that it felt secondary when I traveled. I mostly went away to unwind, for the exotic vibe, to visit monuments or museums, or for completely different food.

But whether you seek it out or not, you really do make some amazing connections.

For my part, all the travel forum messages end up in my spam folder—I don’t understand what I should do. I’ve even created a new post and replied to others… Maybe someone could help me out? Thanks

Sorry, I’m not an expert on this and especially haven’t run into this issue myself. I had a feeling the reopening was coming. I thought I’d check the site just in case, the day a message announced it.

Hi Jaydev! It's a pleasure to see VF back after years of silence! It reminds me of a fun comparison with *The Lord of the Rings*:

Gandalf "the Grey" disappears during his battle against the Balrog demon on the Bridge of Khazad-dûm, deep in the Misty Mountains. He later reappears as Gandalf "the White" in Fangorn Forest, more powerful than before. I hope VF is experiencing a similar rebirth! !

hi there, I’m also really happy the site’s back up. I remember several VF meet-ups in the south of France, Gard. One I hosted included a slideshow, and the gatherings were so nice!
