we have flights with Swiss and Lufthansa for January; our flights are still in our booking file. But after reading that the Cambodian ambassador in Paris advised against transiting through Bangkok (which is our case), I reached out to the airlines to potentially change our ticket via Singapore. However, both companies have canceled all flights to Cambodia, regardless of the day or airport. We’ll have our contact on the ground call us on Monday to figure out what to do, especially since no insurance covers war, conflict, etc. If anyone else is in the same situation with an upcoming departure, we can exchange tips

Bonjour Je souhaitais avoir des avis sur les compagnies qui font les vols intérieurs au Cambodge. Prévoyant de faire plusieurs vols au Cambodge nous avons dû réserver avec Cambodia Angkor Airlines ( qui est connu) mais aussi avec JC airlines. Je n'ai rien lu d'inquiétant sur JC Airlines mais je souhaitais avoir les avis de voyageurs qui aurait pris cette compagnie. Ça craint ou je n'ai pas à m'inquiéter? Merci de vos lumières ! :-)

Mon voyage au pays de mon père arrive bientôt. Je dois prendre China SOUSTHERNE et j' ai deux escales cantons 6 h Pékin au retour 9 h .... Impossible de annuler ni même de modifier ces escales pour passer ailleurs ! Question : puis je quand même passer par la chine malgré le covid ? Et ensuite pourquoi certain se fond rembourser voir modifier le billet pas moi ? Je suis passée par une agence TIX grrrrr!!!!

Au Cambodge , le covid est t'il présent vu que on ne nous dis pas tout ...

Bonjour, Nous partons en famille de Paris CDG à Kuala Lumpur le 23 février, avec la compagnie Airlines China. Nous avons une escale de 2h 10 à Shanghai. Apparemment aucun vol n'est annulé. J'ai voulu annuler ce vol avec ma carte visa 1er. Mais, les épidémies, ne fonctionnent pas pour un remboursement. Est ce que vous avez des solutions pour ne pas rester à Shanghai? Est ce que quelqu'un à fait une escale à Shanghai récemment? Merci pour toutes vos réponses.

We’re planning a one-month trip to China, which matches the 30-day visa on arrival, but with a return ticket from Vietnam. For example, we’d arrive in Chengdu, then travel via Lao Cai to Vietnam, and fly back to Paris CDG from Hanoi 45 days later. Do you think this could be an issue at boarding?

Second option: arrive in Chengdu (*30-day visa duration*), then fly from Kunming to Hanoi 45 days later (Vietnam visa duration), and return to Paris CDG from Hanoi. Thanks for your input!

Des vols spéciaux seront cependant organises pour rapatrier ses salaries et clients. La compagnie avait deja suspendu ses vols vers Wuhan

La France a actuellement envoyé, semble t il aux frais du contribuable, deux appareils dont un de l’armée pour rapatrier les francais expatries souhaitant fuir la situation sanitaire dans le pays communiste.

Je me suis rendu aujourd'hui dans les bureaux de China Southern sur les Champs-Élysées pour avoir quelques infos sur un vol CDG>Canton puis Philippines.

La dame derrière le desk me dit qu'il vaut mieux acheter mon ticket dans une agence de voyage ou sur GoVoyages ou Opodo 🙁 Et que sur le site de la compagnie je risque d'avoir des problèmes de paiements, de bugs, de double débit, etc... et que la procédure de réparation est longue !

Bref, pas très vendeur...

Quelqu'un a t'il eu ces problèmes sur le site de la compagnie ?

Bonjour Je viens de constater que China Eastern ne permet des bagages en cabine que de 5 kg en classe éco. Que vais-je mettre dans la valise (celle-ci pèse 2,5kg). Je ne voulais emmener que cette seule valise et l'avoir à mes cotés en cabine. Il me reste 2,5kg de remplissage 🤪 !!! j'ai 5kg de matériel photo et 5 kg de fringues et accessoires. Comment compresser ces 10kg en 2,5kg. Il n'y a pas comme en informatique une valise ZIP 😉. Vous me direz je peux la mettre en soute ! Mais c'est ce que je ne voulais pas ! L'année dernière j'étais parti avec Air France en Chine en classe éco = 12kg. J'avais pas prévu ça. Les contrôles sont-ils strictes à Paris chez China Eastern ? Bonne fin de semaine 🙂

I’d like to travel to Japan with my son. I read that it’s cheaper to fly via Hong Kong to reach other Asian countries. I tried it, and it’s indeed much cheaper, with better flight times on Cathay Pacific, which is a great airline. In short, it’s better—even though I think if I miss a flight, I’d lose everything.

I’d like to know if it’s easy to get around Hong Kong Airport? Do you have to go through customs again in these cases? Do you need to pay for some kind of transit visa?

If the layover is long, is it easy to head into the city for a quick visit?

Bonjour, J'espère que je ne suis pas H-S sinon je supprimerais mon poste. En fait, je faisais mes études en Chine, mais à cause d'un décès, en Janvier je suis répartie en France. Et il y a eu le virus en chine, et l'école nous as conseillé de ne pas repartir. Je ne vais donc plus en Chine, mais j'avais déjà payé mon billet de retour. Et j'ai demandé un remboursement au plus vite (mon billet étant prévu le 13 Février), et on m'a dit qu'on m'enverrait un message sous 6 jours pour le remboursement. Cela fait 15 jours et je n'ai toujours pas de nouvelles. Je n'arrive pas à contacter Airchina sur messenger, mail ou même par appel. Pourtant dans l'actualité de leur site, c'était bien écris que les billets commençant par tel nombre sont remboursés. Mais aucun nouvelle et je ne sais plus du tout à qui écrire... Voilà merci de m'avoir lu...

Chinese airlines only sell the most expensive tickets on comparison sites or their websites outside China. For the best prices, tickets need to be bought in China. Has anyone ever bought a domestic flight there through a local agency or online? Same question for trains.

We’re planning to return to China next fall. Destination: Shanghai, followed by a trip through Gansu and then Hunan. I’ll admit that international flights are leaving me a bit puzzled—I’m wondering how far in advance I should book to get the best deals. For most other international destinations, I usually book 6 to 9 months ahead, but for China, it’s a whole different story... For example, when I look at flight comparisons, the best prices are around 500 € or even less for departures within the next 3 months with Chinese airlines (Air China, China Southern, etc.). Not the most practical timing for planning a trip... Those same tickets jump to over 1,000 € for departures around October 20th. 🏴‍☠️ There are also flights in October at very reasonable prices with Finnair + Juneyao Airlines. Has anyone heard of them? I’m worried that if the first flight (Finnair) is delayed, it might be impossible to get rebooked on the next Juneyao flight... Anyway, if you have any recent experiences to share... 😇 Thanks in advance! !

Hi there, I just booked a round-trip flight from Brussels to Da Nang on eDreams, with a layover in Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific. Does anyone know the check-in procedure for these flights? 1) For flight CX294 BXL-HKG, I’ll need to check in on the Cathay Pacific website, 2) For the next flight CX5552 HKG-DAD, what should I do? I only have a 2h25 layover. Will I need to collect my luggage, go through immigration, and then recheck in at the airport counter, etc.? I’m pretty worried about this layover—I thought check-in could be done on the airline’s website and that my luggage would be transferred automatically during the layover, like with most other airlines... Thanks so much for any help from those who’ve been in this situation!

et si je fais Manille - Hong Kong : env 50€ !!

Nous voyageons avec China Eastern Airlines sur les deux vols pour revenir au Canada. Devons nous récupérer nos bagages en soutes ? Ou seront-ils directement acheminés pour le prochain vol? Since I can’t reach AirChina by phone, I’m posting here to see if anyone has encountered a similar situation and can shed some light.

I’m flying on Sunday for a CDG-Beijing-Canton flight with AirChina, then Canton-Bangkok with Spring Airlines.

I’m a bit worried about my luggage. I’m only traveling with a backpack, a carry-on bag.

I’m not entirely clear on the rules about carrying liquids in the cabin, and I’m hesitant to bring a small toiletry kit (small perfume, cream, deodorant stick—all under 100ml, in a ziplock bag, with a total volume of 350ml).

From what I understand, liquids are allowed but only in checked baggage for domestic flights. On the other hand, it’s stated that they’re permitted in cabin if they meet the 100ml rule and are packed in a ziplock. It’s a bit contradictory, and the airline isn’t responding.

Since my connection is tight and I’m not familiar with Beijing Airport, I’m afraid of breaking the rules, getting held up during security checks, and having to throw away my things.

If anyone can clarify this for me, I’d really appreciate it! !
