La caution peut être retenue (et donc pas restituée puisqu'elle est prélevée), en partie ou totalement, en cas de petites casses sur la voiture (rayures, bas de caisse abimés etc.) ou si le plein n'est pas fait. Bref si "l'état des lieux" lors du retour n'est pas le même que celui lors de la prise en charge.Chez Sixt, une amie a vu sa caution amputée parce qu'elle n'avait pas rendu la voiture propre. Hertz a l'air moins regardant sur ça.

Chez Hertz, les cautions sur les deux voitures louées ont été retirées (R3450 chaque fois) et restituées intégralement une semaine après le retour de chaque véhicule (ma banque m'a même rendu les frais de commission prélevés lors de la prise en charge de chaque voiture).

Zebra camper hire, Benoni, Gauteng - stay away.Morning all, I hope this is the right place to post this, but I feel it is right to warn any one that is thinking is using this company to think carefully about it.We recently hired a camper van to travel thru Namibia for 18 days. Of those 18 days we spent 8 days in Namibia and of those 8 days we spent spent 6 days waiting for this company to (1) replace a broken down camper and (2) waiting for a new tyre as the spare tyre supplied was flat and not in good working condition.On informing the company that the original camper had broken down in Karasberg, there was no follow up from the lady we dealt with, Anja, we had no idea when a new camper would arrive and constantly had to call at our cost to get information. When the second camper arrived it was clear that it was unroad worthy. ABS, ESP, head Light warning lights all flashing brightly on the dash. Spare tyre in worse condition than the first one.When I returned I challenged the opener on the condition of the camper at least 3 times without response, I take his lack of response as acknowledgement that he knew it was not in roadworthy condition.In the end we decided to leave Namibia and return to SA traveling down the west coast and returning home with a very sour taste in our mouths.The most disappointing thing about this is that it seems to be a reasonably well established company and the owner was very helpful and friendly whilst we were doing our planning. But when we needed assistance they were no where to be found.I will leave it up to you if you would like to use this company, but be forewarned you could be left very very disappointed at high cost.
