Je pars vivre en Polynésie courant Mars-avril et je recherche du travail dans n'importe quel secteur d'activité, je suis photographe de formation mais j'ai beaucoup travaillé dans la restauration, responsable d'établissement (snack), barman, serveur, saisons à Courchevel dans bar/restaurant, j'ai aussi travaillé dans la vente de vêtements (responsable de magasin)
Mais si il y 'a d'autres secteurs d'activités dans lesquels il y aurait des places je suis preneur

si tu cherches dans la restauration ou l'hôtellerie, ça devrait pas poser de problèmes. Il y a sans arrêt des annonces dans ce secteur d'emploi (grands hôtels à Tahiti oiu dans les îles ou restaus en ville). Par contre, question salaire, ça va être au plancher... et vivre ici avec un SMIG ou un peu plus va être assez difficile.

Bonjoir,
je veux simplement dire qu'avec le SMIG en salaire (enciron 135.000 Fcp/mois), si tu vis seul, ça va faire vraiment juste pour t'en sortir et profiter un minimum. Pour un logement que tu me décris, ce sera du 60.000 FCP minimum par mois, donc presque la moitié de ton salaire. Il faudra ensuite te nourrir, payer le téléphone, l'essence, ... A la fin du mois, je crains qu'il ne te reste plus rien si tu veux sortir un peu et voir autre chose.
Bien qu'on soit sous les tropiques, on ne vit pas de l'air du temps et tu verras que la vie ici est extrèmement chère...
Vivre à Bora ? Bof bof. Mauvaise mentalité, trop de monde, et t'a vite fait le tour. Moorea est bien mieux (ile plus grande) et a l'avantage d'être toute proche de papeete (30 min par bateau). Huahine : l'île est encore peu développée sur le plan touristique par rapport à Bora Bora ou Moorea et y trouver un emploi ne sera pas évident...
Pour les annonces, on les trouve principalement dans la DEPECHE (quotidien local)

Salut,
alors, pour le vélo, tu peux en acheter un ici à Maharepa chez un commerçant qui vend un peu de tout (M. FRIEDMAN). Je te conseille quand même de l'acheter à Papeete où tu auras plus de choix. Il y a un endroit pas loin du quai des ferries (c'est pratique si tu viens à Moorea en bateau...) : Ets AMNING. (rue parallèle au front de mer, face au ferries) C'est hyper connu... et les vélos sont pas cher.
Pour la location, j'ai pas de contact en tête mais on voit de temps en temps des annonces de particulier affichées dans les commerces qui louent au mois des bungalows de ce style. A l'occasion, je relèverai une adresse lorsque j'en verrai une.

Comme toi, j'aimerai partir en Polynésie à partir du mois de Juin. Je suis chef de réception en hôtellerie, mais je peux aussi me retourner vers la restauration. As tu déjà trouvé un job, ou tu préfères te renseigner sur place ?
Et concernant le logement et les précieux conseils d'Eric, tu as obtenu quelquechose ?
Concernant le travail je vais chercher sur place, ça va être plus simple je vais acheter un scooter dès que j'arrive (je pars début avril).
Pour le logement, je vais commencer en bungalow dans les campings et une fois que j'aurais un travail, un bungalow chez un particulier au mois .
Sur quelle ile vas-tu au mois de juin ?

J'aimerai aller soit sur Moorea, Bora Bora ou Thaiti. Je pense que pour trouver du boulot, c'est là qu'il ya le plus d'opportunités.

Moi aussi je compte aller sur Moorea ou Bora bora mais pas sur Tahiti (trop grand, trop de circulation) j'aime les iles assez petite avec du charme.
Pour le travail en faite je suis photographe de formation mais j'ai beaucoup travaillé en restauration alors je prendrais ce qu'il y a, du moment que ça me permet de vivre là bas. Si le travail ne me plait pas j'en chercherais un autre en même temps.
C'est la première fois que je vais en Polynésie, ça fait 3 mois que je prépare mon voyage et d'après ce que j'en ai vu sur le net je suis sûr que ça me plaira, de toute façon ça sera toujours mieux que la France!! avec une qualité de vie incomparable!
Je préfère la chaleur mais j'avoue que j'ai adoré les saisons à la montagne on travaillait beaucoup mais j'ai bien rigolé, toi aussi je suppose.

comme je l'ai déja dit, on voit passer pas mal d'annonces dans la presse locale pour des offres d'emploi en tant que réceptionniste ou autres métiers de l'hôtellerie (chef de rangs, ...). Seuls quelques hôtels proposent des logements à leurs employés. Il faut donc se loger et c'est assez cher... Quand on est seul, le moyen le moins onéreux, c'est la coloc. Etre seul ici demande d'avoir un salaire confortable pour s'en sortir. Les rémunérations dans l'hôtellerie ne sont pas extraordinaires. Un loyer en coloc c'est mini. 60.000 / 70.000 Fcp/mois. Sur un salaire de 150.000 il reste plus grand chose...... Donc, bien réfléchir avant de partir. Dans les grands hôtels, ils demandent de plus en plus pour les personnels "front-desk" une 3° langue (italien, espagnol, japonais notamment)
