Je viens de m'inscrire au forum, que je trouve très sympa et utile pour les info, c'est mon premier forum d'ailleurs, excusez moi si je ne suive pas correctement les formalités. J'ai besoin de quelques infos sur Bora Bora. Moi, je suis peruvienne, mon mari est francais.
On a proposé à mon mari une opportunité de travail très interessante à Bora Bora, sachant que Bora Bora est l'endroit le plus beau au monde on a decidé d'y aller. Pourtant, sur internet on ne voit que des superbes hotels et plages de reve, mais nous on voudrait savoir si c'est facile de trouver un logement sur l'ile, (une petite maison), puis comment ca se passe si on a besoin d'un medecin ou un hopital (j'ai 38 ans j'envisage avoir un bébé) et derniere question ou est-ce que les gens font les courses, est-ce qu'il y a un marché?

Je suis venu remplacer un pilote d'hélico pour 15 jours, cela fait 16 ANS...... A Bora, tu as plusieurs médecins généralistes, 3 dentistes, une pharmacie, dernièrement, une sage femme s'installait. A Bora, il y a un dispensaire et sur l'île d'a coté Raiatea, l'Hopital. Sinon, c'est Tahiti pour les cliniques privées. Je suis actuellement en Asie et ne peut t'en dire plus coté santé.
Les supermarchés sont au nombre de ...deux : Toa Amok et Chin lee. Tu trouves de tout, mais pas tout le temps...tout dépend du bateau, etc... Après il y a plusieurs magasins ou tu peut te dépanner facilement.
Le logement : pareil tu trouves detout, ...compte 1000 à 1200 Euros pour unemaison coté mer ( ca ne veut pas dire sur la plage... de toutes les façons, évites...)
Tu ne pourras pas travailler sauf si ton employeur fait ne demande de permis pour toi....

je vis en Polynésie avec ma copine depuis plus d'un an et nous venons d'avoir un petit garçon. Concernant Bora Bora c'est vrai que la beauté de l'île est à la hauteur de sa réputation. Mais ici, en polynésie c'est une des îles qui a la moins bonne répuation! En effet elle victime de son succès et aujourd'hui il est difficile d'y trouver de l'authenticité... Les grands hotels de luxe accaparent les meilleurs spots de l'île et les polynésien ont un peu perdu de leur acceuil légendaire! Et il ne faut pas oublier que Bora se résume à une ville grosse comme un petit village, sans cinéma, sans théatre, sans centre commerciaux... Il y a quand même des magasins et on trouve tous les produits et tous les services administratifs et médicaux "du quotidien". Par contre pour accoucher, il me semble qu'il n'est plus possible d'accoucher dans les îles et que les femmes doivent aller à Tahiti, à 1H d'avion (à confirmer, je ne suis pas très sûr).
Donc Bora reste un paradis pour touriste mais pour y vivre mieux vaut être fan de plage et de pêche!

Je suis quand meme un peu soulagée de tes infos; coté services j'imaginais pire que ca à Bora Bora !! je craignais que je deverais m'y mettre à la peche pour manger hi hi hi.
J'ai appris qu'il y a un höpital à Raiatea, c'est quand meme beaucoup plus près de Bora que Papeete, il existe encore?. En plus pour les controls avec le gyne, il faudrais prendre l'avion à chaque fois?? ou je pourrais le faire quand meme dans l'ile en face Raiatea?

alors de mon côté, je me suis installée à Bora le 15 juillet dernier, et je travaille dans un spa de l'un de ces gds hotels...
Il est vrai que pour la gynéco et les échos, il faudra te faire evasané (prononcer évassané): je t'explique: tu vas chez un médecin (il y en a des bons), tu lui demandera de te faire un bon d'évassane c(est a dire un bon qui te permettra de ne pas payer le bateau ou l'avion pour raiatea (désolée pour l'écriture) et voili!
t'inquiète, ici c'est beau, mais c'est long, tout est long...mais pour les polynésiens, après un petit temps d'adaptation, ils sont très très gentils!

Je vis à tahiti depuis 6 ans , mais j'ai vecu tres longtemps aux antilles.Si tu veux une vie plus facile avec autant de soleil , de belles plages et plus de facilités au niveau travail , je te conseille la guadeloupe.J'y suis rester 6 ans aussi et si tu sais t'intégrer , respecter els locaux et leurs coutumes tu auras pas de problemes de racisme.Ici la vie est tres difficile, et il ya pas tout les avantages d'être un departement français.Volaà c'ets juste un conseil.Nana Bonne chance

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
Are there any special requirements before leaving France (aside from taxes...)?

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
