Yeah, sure (not for a big family 😏)

But that’s double the 2019 fares—we paid that much for two people. Oh wow!

Yeah, that's what I was saying in the title... plus, nothing exciting about the duration (less than a month). Yesterday, I checked for the period I'm interested in, and the best price from a Gulf airline was with Gulf Air: 868 € with a reasonable layover. 😎

Hi everyone, Afterwards, I think you should, as always, keep an eye on price trends, be flexible with dates, and be ready to book when a good fare comes up. I got my ticket to BKK from LYS with Emirates for 725 €: traveling on 01/27 and the ticket was bought on 11/11. Sure, it’s more expensive than what we’ve seen in the past, but I think it’s a reasonable price.

True, it’s still a good deal for Emirates. Though, worth checking the layover durations?

The layovers are a bit long but still reasonable: 3h50 on the way out and 3h40 on the way back. I could’ve had a shorter layover on the return (2h-3h), but I chose it this way. Booked on the Emirates website. A few weeks after buying my tickets, I even found flights with Qatar for 700 €. So, with a bit of digging...

Nice one! Great deal. How many weeks? I know that often affects the price.

From 01/26 to 02/10. So roughly 2 weeks.

Ah, okay, that explains it. For me, it's 1 month😎

Okay, I finally found 2 interesting tickets: Air India or Royal Jordanian, around 650 € with decent layovers (which one should I choose??)

It's a tough choice. Just FYI, make sure your layover in India is long enough—the passenger check during the layover takes forever. After that, choosing between the two is up to you... you can check out reviews for both airlines on flight-report.com/en

Okay, I'll check that out, thanks. Just so you know, I have a 5-hour layover on the way there and a 2-hour-50-minute layover on the way back with Air India. I've already tried Air India before, but it was a while ago (even back then, the security check-in was already a bit long). Like I mentioned earlier, the experience with this airline wasn't the worst (but not the most pleasant either 😎)
