Morocco is a safe bet. It’s already won over travelers in the past... So...
JE Jeeaan Globetrotter ·
It's so close to France and yet such a change of scenery!

A few of us here on the forum are convinced of it. The regulars!

Thanks, that’s so kind. And I think we’ll take a little inspiration from your itinerary.

Hope it brings you as much happiness as it did for us! Safe travels!

We can’t wait to be there now. We’ve got two weeks to enjoy it. We should already be able to treat ourselves. We really like your itinerary. We’ll probably have to scale it back a bit since we only have two weeks, but we’re keeping the option to play it by ear. We haven’t booked any hotel nights yet.
JE Jeeaan Globetrotter ·
Two weeks is great. You can really take your time to soak it all in. Have a fantastic trip!
TR Trostang Globetrotter ·
Especially since it’s not your first trip. So, you’ll quickly get into the swing of things. Have a great trip!

Departure is approaching. On Sunday, we'll be in Essaouira. I saw they're forecasting wind there. But in Essaouira, that's nothing unusual. So, we're happy to be seeing Morocco again.
AX Axelfl Regular ·
Gorgeous weather in Essaouira... It's charming and so lively! We're loving it!
MI Milo53 Regular ·
We're also on the coast. We're having amazing weather.
LE Letafraouti ·
Hi there

I was in Essaouira on Sunday and Monday too. Right now I’m in Tafraout… and if you pass through, you’re welcome! Looking forward to it The Tafraouti – Dauphinois

Nothing but sunshine since we arrived. For us, it's pure bliss! For Moroccans, it's catastrophic... Everything is so dry—way too dry for March!
TR Trostang Globetrotter ·
Unfortunately, this drought is hitting Morocco hard.

Hi Léa83,

I’m heading back to Morocco in September—last year I visited Marrakech and backpacked down the coast from Essaouira to Agadir. What a beautiful travel journal, you really took me along on your trip! This time, I’m planning to stay for a month in September. I was torn about exploring the north (Chefchaouen has me dreaming), but your trip is so inspiring!

How was your trip back? Not too complicated?
AX Axelfl Regular ·
The return trip was really stressful. Our return flight was canceled. We had to buy another flight, which was also canceled. Another purchase and finally back to France. But so much uncertainty—it was exhausting. The first part of our trip was absolutely amazing... Gorgeous weather, incredible discoveries... We're relieved to be back home. Our thoughts are with those still stranded around the world.
TR Trostang Globetrotter ·
So glad to hear you made it back safely. And when things settle down, we’d love to read a few lines about this trip.
LA Lagardevicto Veteran ·
And that's a good thing 😁

We get how relieved you must feel. It’s nice to be home right now.

When the stress has settled down a bit, I’ll dive back into my photos... But when I got back, my heart just wasn’t in it... And yet we had time... And yet we saw so many beautiful things... So we’ll be able to share all that soon.

Hello " We understand your relief. It’s great to be home right now." Thanks, optimists The storm will be over soon

I’ll gladly follow along too.

It’d be a great idea to take us on a trip during lockdown...

I recently stopped by Taliouine. I wanted to visit the young cobbler, but everything was closed. I get the feeling he’s shut up shop.

Maybe a COVID effect... a lot of people had to change jobs...

We’re planning to head back to Morocco next spring, and I’m wondering if the construction is finished on the road between Marrakech and Ouarzazate.

We’re planning to head back to Morocco next spring, and I’m wondering if the roadworks between Marrakech and Ouarzazate are finished.

The roadworks are done. There might still be a few small construction sites, but the major works are finished.

Hi Léa, I think your travel story is really great.... I’ve also been a "traveler" in MOROCCO... where I used to go regularly every year. But... since Covid... no more trips... This year, with my partner, we’re planning to go starting October 15, 2025... and I hope to have a wonderful journey... I have to say, I know a lot of Moroccans... who’ve become friends... Just wanted to say thanks See you soon Patrick

October is a really nice month in Morocco. You should be able to enjoy rediscovering the Morocco you know, which hasn’t changed all that much. Let us know what you think!
Léa83 Regular ·
Thanks Patrick. I hope your return to Morocco went well. My turn to head back soon, probably in April.

JE Jeeaan Globetrotter ·
April is a fantastic month to explore Morocco. What’s your itinerary going to be?
Léa83 Regular ·
Nothing’s set in stone yet. We’re chasing wide-open spaces, and Morocco definitely won’t disappoint. We’ll focus on the south of the country.

Most of the time, I travel without booking anything—it lets me keep the flexibility to change my itinerary based on my mood or the weather. But I always plan a few sites ahead of time to check out new things.
