États-Unis: voiture de location avec Alamo, carte de crédit ou carte de débit?

Bonsoir!Deja je tiens a remercier les gens sur ce forum qui m'ont aider à préparer mon voyage a l'ouest des USA du 9 au 29 juin.
Petit probleme, on a trouvé une voiture pas trop chère au depart de l'aeroport de San Francisco, on est trois jeunes conductrices donc c'était pas évident, mais sur le site d'Alamo ils disent qu'il faut une carte de credit...
J'habite en Angleterre avec mon amie et nous n'avons que deux cartes de débit Visa. On a demandé aux banques, elles ne veulent pas nous fournir de carte de credit.
J'ai une copine qui vient avec nous et qui elle habite en France. Elle a une carte Mastercard (ou Maestro je ne sais plus trop), mais c'est une carte de debit aussi.
Pensez vous que cela soit suffisant?
On a qu'une peur, c'est arriver la bas et nous voire refuser la voiture a cause de ca... Tout notre voyage en serait gaché...

Une seule carte de crédit suffit pour la location de voiture, généralement celle du conducteur principal.Ce n'est pas coutume sur notre continent de louer une voiture avec une carte de débit. Je ne sais pas ce qu'est Maestro...D'autres pourront te renseigner

Bonjour,au USA le concept carte de credit est un peu different dans les appelations
une " debit card" est une carte avec laquelle on peut retirer des especes et payer ses achats dans les magasins ou sur le web, c'est une carte de paiement. c'est LA carte la plus couranteune " credit card " c'est une carte pour un paiement A credit, avec un taux d'interet, comme lorsque l'on paie en plusieurs fois. en fait on rembourse une petite somme tous les mois a un organisme de creditle probleme c;est qu'en usage courant tous le monde parle de carte de credit.....
pour louer une voiture vous avez besoin d'une carte de paiementsi avec vos cartes vous pouvez regler vos achats.... vous n'avez pas de probleme si vous pouvez seulement retirer des especes....vous avez un probleme !!

Une carte de debit avec le logo VISA dessus devrait pouvoir marcher sans problemes. C'est une carte de paiement, juste comme un carte de credit VISA.

What methods of payment are accepted for deposits? How can I pay at the end of my rental?
Cash: Cash rentals may be accommodated for economy through full-size vehicles. Please review the following key points regarding cash rentals:
§ Renter must meet Cash Rental Requirements.
§ A deposit in the amount of the calculated rental charges plus an additional $300 is required.
§ Renters may use cash as form of final payment upon return of the vehicle.
§ For rentals in Canada, only customers on a pre-paid tour or renting on corporate accounts that have negotiated the option to use cash are allowed to use cash to qualify for a rental. The following are required: verifiable proof of employment, verifiable home/cell phone and/or utilities in renter's name, verifiable return transportation ticket. A deposit of $50 per rental day may apply.
Debit Cards: Debit/check cards are considered to be any non-credit card bearing the VISA, MasterCard or Discover Card logo. Any other non-credit card without the VISA, MasterCard or Discover Card logo is not accepted. Please review the following guidelines:
§ When renting in the U.S., with proof of a round trip travel ticket (airline, cruise ship or train) at time of rental.
§ For pick-ups in the United States, without proof of roundtrip ticket, debit or check cards are only accepted when returning the vehicle. A credit card in the name of the renter must be presented at the time of pick-up.
§ Puerto Rico, a credit card in the name of the renter must be presented at the time of pickup. Debit/check cards are only accepted for payment at time of return.
§ In Canada, a credit card in the name of the renter must be presented at the time of pickup. Debit/check cards are not accepted for payment at time of return unless they have the Visa or MasterCard logo.

Debit Card Policy: Detroit Metro Airport accepts Debit Cards as a form of deposit for Deplaning customers only with a valid driver's license. A return flight itinerary is required as proof at the time of the rental.
