In response to your question about the international driving permit, I found good information at the following website:

It strongly recommends getting an international driving permit, especially if your driver’s license is in a language other than English. It is suggested you get one from the automobile association or driving authorities in your country.
The state of
Florida does not require it, however. You may use you valid license from your country for up to 30 days. If you will be in
Florida longer than 30 days, contact the
