When was Pixar acquired by The Walt Disney Company?On January 24, 2006, both companies entered into an agreement to merge Pixar with The Walt
Disney Company. The deal was approved by Pixar shareholders and the merger became effective on May 5, 2006. Pixar is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt
Disney Company.
Can the public tour the Pixar facility?Due to production demands and confidentiality issues, we are a closed studio and do not offer tours.
