An attempt to define the different categories of Thai Women looking for partners
To whom it may concern!These details have been put together as a result of many enquiries from Internet acquaintances and others who are interested in having various kinds of associations with Thai women. These observations stem from a mixture of personal experience and actual experiences from a variety of responsible/reliable sources.
Basically there are three main categories of Thai Women who, for various reasons, are interested in meeting foreigners but there are
exceptions to every rule that was ever made!
What follows are simply guidelines and generalidations!
The 1st kind These are what are commonly known as Bar Girls, Street Walkers and/or Hookers. These are straight forward prostitutes who sell their services for a negotiable fee; which can be for a half hour quick one up to a three month contract or more! This is their permanent job and they have no other form of work/money earning facility. Mostly these girls are not interested in permanent relationships as they enjoy their life – contrary to what many ‘do gooders’ organisations would have you believe! There is a high risk of disease but they are capable of delivering a high level of sexual and companionable satisfaction and are very good at making their clients believe ‘he’ is the best ever. By reputation, they will never be happy with anything resembling a marriage although many foreigners have tried to take them away and re-adjust. Other sources (statistics) suggest that less than 5% are satisfactory!
However for the foreigner who wants a two day/week/month fling with
no strings attached, this is where he fits into the Thai scenario
Many of these girls have at least two or three
permanent arrangements with foreigners, who visit
Thailand once or twice a year and stay for a few weeks. These men have to make regular monthly payments to keep up the relationship but then they are ‘met off the plane’ and it’s straight to bed without having to search in bars or wherever!
The 2nd kindThese are women who are on the border line of prostitution (the gray zone) depending upon how you want to define prostitution. Often times they are office workers, sales girls, receptionists etc. who want a good time once in a while but not necessarily any sort of permanent relationship. Some, some..... are bored wives whose husbands are working away and just want to be wined and dined once in a while. They are usually not particularly interested in money as such, as long as the foreigner concerned is ‘picking up the bill’ for the restaurant or overnight stay.
This category is a little difficult to find and nearly impossible for the casual visitor because they are not easily recognised and their inclinations are not advertised – but there are exceptions through casual encounters at a bank, pharmacy or department store etc. etc.
The 3rd kindThese are ‘
youngish’ but more mature (experienced!) women, who have usually been married before to a Thai, divorced and totally fed up with the attitudes of Thai men! It should be clearly understood that ‘one night stands’ or even longer term stays are definitely
NOT acceptable. They usually have a job and so are not in financial difficulties.
These women, are not only very attractive physically but are usually more honest than most, reliable and make very good loving and appreciative companions/wives. Almost always they look for
OLDER men because these are considered to be more stable and caring than the younger ones who are more prone to flit about (aka butterflies). The
big requirement is that they want their man to be with them
ALL the time. They want a permanent relationship – either Thai Style or marriage European style
after a reasonable period of getting to know each other by Email, telephone and non sexual visits for a while. They are NOT interested in either of the 1st or 2nd category situations. The criterion is that they must feel sure you will stay with them for ever.
These women are usually in the range of 30 to 40 years of age but are often
more attractive than the younger girls because they know how to look after themselves as well as their prospective partners (younger girls rarely know much or care about the latter!).
Women in this category often have one or two children by their first marriage but these are almost always looked after by their Mothers – a perfectly normal Thai custom.
“Why”, you might ask, is this criterion of ‘permanency’ so important to them? Well firstly, they are ‘decent’ women and if the foreigner disappears after a month or even after a year they are then regarded by neigbours and friends as some kind of prostitute – rightly or wrongly! Thai women (men too) care about ‘loss of face’ very very much more that the average foreigner.
Next, in order to have been with someone long term, they would probably have had to stop working and to regain a job at their age in
Thailand is NOT easy. Companies (even International ones) much prefer to employ young girls. (lower salaries etc.)
So if you leave them after a period of time, they are left lonely and without any source of income! These are some of the reasons why, this 3rd category of women are choosey and careful about their association with foreigners. However they have a great deal more to offer than their younger contemporaries for any man who is looking for home comforts as well as sex per se!
There is no doubt about the fact that for older foreigners, this 3rd category of young women is by far the best possibility which enjoys a relatively high degree of success. Once you are satisfied and sure of each other, a man will have all the sex and loving attention that you have ever imagined in your wildest dreams in addition to all the comforts of home!
An addendum in praise of the 3rd category of womenFor many men (especially Thai males) there is a fixation about the attractions of very young girls which relates to the totally fictional belief that sex with a young little used female organ provides the greatest enjoyment. However in grim reality, the fullest sexual enjoyment comes about when two people possess significant amounts of
experience, and can then participate fully in terms of actions and feelings.
There are few, if any, young females in the 3rd category who would possess this kind of experience so that their contribution to sexual satisfaction would be minimal to say in the least!
On the other hand, women possessing more maturity (30 to 40 years of age) will have had much more experience and can therefore provide/achieve much much more to
mutual satisfaction.
There is a very true old adage that, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and while tastes in terms of ‘beauty’ may differ widely, in general it will be found that women in the 3rd category range are often even more beautiful and physically attractive because their bodies are more mature with more seductive profiles and they know how to take care of themselves and to keep themselves in shape generally. If you are a foreigner looking for a ‘caring’ person with a sense of responsibility and the ability to make a comfortable home in addition to the sexual aspects, then this category is definitely the one for you to select
The last word – ‘please leave some for us!’
A letter written recently to the Editor of an English Language Thai Newspaper contained a plea from a group of Thai men who were very concerned about the high rates of foreigners marrying Thai women. It seems that statistics, supposedly from the Marriages Registration Offices (Ampur/Kate in Thai) indicate that the numbers of Thai women marrying foreigners are
escalating every year!
Hence the plea – ‘save some for us’!
