Situation at Bangkok International Airport and in Mumbai
According to the authorities,
Bangkok Airport will be closed at least until 6 pm on Monday 1st December, local time in
Bangkok. Finnair has cancelled eleven
Helsinki-
Bangkok flights and their corresponding return flights since the closure of
Bangkok's international airport on Tuesday. The last cancelled flight at the moment is evening flight on Sunday scheduled for 23.55 from
Helsinki to

There has been difficulties sending text messages to
Thailand, because the local telephone network is overloaded. We are urging passengers to monitor Finnair's website, and people in Finland to forward information to their friends and relatives in
Thailand.
We hope that our customers will not make duplicate reservations through different channels and that they do not check their reservations several times, because this overloads and weakens our service capacity.
Finnair is prepared to restart flights to
Bangkok immediately, when the airport reopens to traffic. The number of passengers in
Bangkok is currently estimated to be 1, 200, of whom around half are Finns.
Finnair's leisure flights to
Thailand are operating normally.
