puisque tu as l'air de t'y connaitre, sais tu où je pourrais me procurer les paroles des chansons, notamment "you are my sister" ; je me suis achtée l'album et trop déçue il n'y a mm pas les textes, pffff

Eh bien Lepiaf est la bonne personne à qui s'adresser , il a énormément de références et te les donnera selon tes goûts... Ou Gnome (qui est perdu quelque part au Chili) ainsi que Misterbean...En fait, au lieu de " Rock du monde ", j'aurais dû dire " Pop rock- Rock - Folk du monde "... En général, tu lances un sujet sur un auteur et il se peut que tu aies des réponses avec en plus, d'autres auteurs cités pour augmenter ta discothèque... Par exemple, Anthony & the Johnsons avaient été abordés dans le topic " Devendra Banhart " qui est très bon je trouve...

cette référence je l'avais notée...
et si il ne devait y avoir qu'un album à écouter de Devendra Banhart ce serait lequel ?

Je ne saurais te répondre Laetic, je l'ai découvert comme toi sur le post lancé par Misterbean. Je n'ai que son dernier album " Cripple Crow "... Et je ne connais toujours pas Anthony & the Johnsons ! Lepiaf saura mieux t'aider...

J'aime bien les 3 Devendra Banhart, mais si tu en achètes un, prends le dernier : "Cripplecrow".La voix d'Anthony, si spéciale, me rappelait vaguement un chanteur, mais je n'arrivais pas à mettre un nom sur la voix.
Je viens d'écouter une chanson de Brian Ferry (ancien chanteur du groupe Roxy Music) et c'est à lui qu'il me fait penser.

Si tu ne connais pas, il passe tous les soirs sur Canal + à 18h20 à partir d'aujourd'hui.
Je suis tombé dessus par hasard et, dommage pour laetic (si elle l'a loupé), il a chanté sa chanson préférée "you are my sister".

Merci pour l'info mais je n'ai pas la télé Lepiaf... Je suis néanmoins allée écouter quelques extraits sur le net et j'avoue que leur musique est séduisante... En particulier " Hope there's someone " qui me semble poignant...Fnac fnac...

en fait plus j'écoute antony and the jonhsons et plus j'y retrouve mon compte ; les chansons sont différentes les unes des autres, du coup l'album passe en boucle au taf sans que je ne me lasse.... cours à la fn.. chercher bonheur

Je vais y songer... Trop de trucs à acheter, c'est affolant Je bloque sérieusement sur " Hope there's someone "... Sa mélancolie me rappelle Morrissey en solo dans " Ouija Board ", la nostalgie de sa voix est à en faire tourner la chanson en boucle...D'ailleurs, je te te recommande The Smiths (ils ont un double best of) dont Morrissey a été le leader... Un incontournable dans l'histoire du rock anglais... Et pour rester dans le même pays qu'Anthony...

C'est curieux, mais je n'ai jamais accroché avec les Smith.Au fait Anthony est new-yorkais, pas anglais.

Ce qui est marrant aussi est que tu n'es pas le premier à me dire ça... Pour Anthony, j'ai lu dans le site des Inrocks qu'il est né en Angleterre... Et je n'avais pas effectivement fait attention à la suite

Hola Je profite de l'accalmie de la maison pour vous écrire que j'ai enfin acheté l'album d'Anthony & The Johnsons aujourd'hui ! je dois avouer que ça faisait bien longtemps que je n'avais pas été aussi sublimée par tant de douceur...
Du coup, en écoutant tout l'album je n'ai plus vraiment de préférence uniquement pour " Hope there's someone "... " Fistful of Love " est brillantissimo aussi soit dit en passant... En fait, elles le sont toutes... Merci d'en avoir parlé Au fait Lepiaf, j'ai par la même occasion écouté le nouvel album de Lila Down... Plein de chaleur, je le note dans ma liste... Es-tu un fan de Lou Reed en solo et des Velvet Underground ? J'ai écouté deux de leurs chansons dans un film vietnamien (" Corney Island Baby " et " Pale Blue Eyes "), si je devais me procurer leurs albums, lesquels me conseillerais-tu ?
