Ladies: please note that the Temple has recently tightened their dress requirements. You must have your shoulders covered and have no visible cleavage - a t-shirt is a good choice. Shorts must be long, finishing just above the knee. Tights cannot be worn as an outer garment. For everyone, no red, purple or pink clothing.
Important Note: A strict dress code applies. The Grand Palace with The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is Thailand's most sacred site. Visitors must be properly dressed before being allowed entry to the temple. Men must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves. No tank tops or singlets. Women must be similarly modestly dressed. No see-through clothes or bare shoulders. No shorts or tights. Proper shoes must be worn. No flip flops.

Temples and palaces are sacred places ad visitors should dress and behave appropriately.
Wear shirt with sleeves, long pants or skirts and close toes shoes (for some reasons thai are exemptfrom this latter rule.)
