Hello,
Thank you for your enquiry.
For travelling from
Inverness to
Portree, you would take the Citylink bus from
Inverness Bus Station. The timetable for this route can be found on their website
here
. This is currently their winter timetable, so it will change in the summer and it might be better to check back on their website (
www.citylink.co.uk
) nearer the time for more up-to-date times.
For
Portree to
Flodigarry and
Flodigarry to
Uig, you would need to take the Stagecoach bus number
57A. You will be able to find the times on the timetable
here.
Again, this is their winter timetable, so the times will most likely change in the summer, so you can check back on Stagecoach's
website
again for the summer timetable.
Travelling from
Uig to
Fort William, from
Fort William to
Glencoe and
Glencoe to
Edinburgh would be by Citylink again.
This
timetable is valid until 26th May 2016, so you will have to check back for their summer timetable. Also, for travelling from
Glencoe to
Edinburgh, you would have to change first at
Glasgow, and then get another bus to
Edinburgh, but this should be shown in the timetable.
Getting back to
Inverness from
Edinburgh is also with Citylink, or you can take the train if you would prefer. The Citylink timetable can be found
here
, and train times can be found on the ScotRail website (
www.scotrail.co.uk
).
Citylink tickets can be purchased on their website, but you can also buy them from our information centre here in
Inverness or from
Inverness bus station. As for Stagecoach, most services you will just pay the driver as you board the bus. You don't need to have the exact fare as they will give you change, but it is cash only.
I hope this information is useful (and makes sense!). If you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to get back in touch with us.
Kind regards,
Joanne MacRae
